5G Medical Net
In the project, a private, dedicated 5G indoor network, called Medical Net, will be built at Södersjukhuset.
The network is an innovation network during the project period and will enable the functionality needed for us to test the use cases described below, including positioning and network slicing.
This means that a certain portion of the network's capacity can be allocated for video, thereby guaranteeing certain characteristics, such as bandwidth and response times. This ensures that critical applications always have access to the capacity they need on the network.
In addition to building a dedicated indoor network at Södersjukhuset, we will also connect that network to its own prioritized section within the regular public telephone network, a so-called network slice, to ensure the necessary quality.
In the first phase, it will take place in a corridor south of Södersjukhuset along Riksväg 73, but other areas may be added.
