Positioning of medical equipment

Today, staff spend a lot of time searching. Stretcher used in the emergency room are usually somewhere else. Several times a day, staff go around the hospital looking for stretchers and bring them back to the emergency room. If there's a shortage of stretchers in the emergency room, it makes it difficult to receive and treat patients, so it's very important that stretchers are always available. The same applies to other mobile hospital equipment such as mobile ultrasound equipment. They need to be found quickly when they are needed.

5GHMI will evaluate using sensors for Real-time Location Services (RTLS) to track hospital equipment, improving efficiency and ensuring that essential items are always available when and where they are needed. The positioning will be done using the 5G network with a new technology based on indoor triangulation. 5GMHI is a pioneer with this technology, as this is likely the first time it has ever been installed and tested in such a complex environment as a hospital.
